Welcome to HuntRoute. By creating an account or using this site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What HuntRoute is

HuntRoute is a free tool for planning routes to discount and closeout stores, taking notes on what you found, and optionally sharing those notes with other users. It's provided as-is, and we may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You must be at least 13 years old to use HuntRoute.

3. Your notes and content

You own the notes, routes, and other content you create. When you mark a note as shared ("Share with other hunters"), you grant other users and HuntRoute permission to display it within the site. You can delete your own notes at any time. Don't post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or that infringes someone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or to encourage illegal activity (including shoplifting or theft).
• Scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the site or its underlying services.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Upload malware or attempt to break the site's security.

5. Store information & accuracy

Store locations come from public, community-maintained map data (OpenStreetMap) and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Notes about prices and inventory are user-submitted opinions, not guarantees. Always verify details yourself — store hours, locations, prices, and stock change constantly, and HuntRoute is not responsible for wasted trips or out-of-date information.

6. Driving & navigation

Routes open in third-party apps such as Apple Maps or Google Maps. Follow all traffic laws and never interact with the app or your phone while driving. You are solely responsible for your own safety and driving.

7. Privacy

To run the site we store your email, a securely hashed password, and the notes and routes you create. If you use "Use my location," your device shares your location with your browser to center the map; we don't store your live location. We don't sell your personal information. Shared notes are visible to other users along with your display name.

8. Termination

You can stop using HuntRoute and delete your content at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or that we believe harm other users or the service.

9. Disclaimers & liability

HuntRoute is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including reliance on store data or user notes.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
